Well... here you go. I made a huge mistake by marrying someone that I thought was perfect for me. I underwent months of emotional abuse and sleep deprivation before finally realizing that what was happening was NOT normal.
Through the help of my boss, who is also a close friend, I planned a way to get back to California. I didn't tell anyone else how bad it was, not even my mother. I knew if anyone found out that there would be alot of trouble, and I'd be taken before I was ready to go. I didn't want to leave too soon- you see, there was a dog I needed to save. I know, alot of people will read this and say 'it's just a dog.' But she's not. Not at all. Asha is my little blessing.
I got to Illinois... and I'm home safe with my Mother and Step father, Dave. Asha's happy too. I can finally settle down and focus on work, and remembe how to live.
